The British actress Emilia Clarke comes from the fantasy world “Game of Thrones” into the “Star Wars” universe. The 30-year-old has been awarded a role in a still titellated spin-off film about Han Solo, the smuggler from the space saga. Clarke starred on the cast alongside Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo) and Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian), as the film portal “Starwars.com” reports.
Although the three future protagonists have already something to show, they obviously had to participate in a long selection process. Thousands of actors have already auditioned for the roles in the “Star Wars” spin-off earlier this year. Directed by Phil Lord, 41, and Chris Miller, 41, who have also written the script.
“Terminator” has also been shot by Clarke
“Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” – just like the next “Star Wars” spin-off, which will be unrelated to the original series: “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story “is on 15 December in German cinemas. Shortly thereafter, in January, the filming of the Han Solo film, which will be released in May 2018, is scheduled to begin. In December 2017 “Star Wars: Episode VIII” continues the legendary film series.
Emilia Clarke already has experience on the big screen: she played Sarah Connor in “Terminator Genisys” with Arnold Schwarzenegger, 69, in 2015, and was recently starred by Sam Claflin, 30, “A whole half year”. In “Game of Thrones” she plays the role of Daenerys Targaryen.
