Microsoft Xbox GDC party – The audience got really embarrassed when clad dancers appeared on the stage of Microsoft’s Xbox GDC party. No wonder the key thing for a huge company like Microsoft will be profit, but again, they have concentrated on their goodwill for the last few decades. In recent times, when huge competition exists, it is the goodwill that will really sustain and Microsoft pays a close eye on their goodwill. Conversely, this time Microsoft has made a major mistake in maintaining their priceless values. In the Xbox GDC party, while that incident happens, none was prepared for it.

What happened at the Microsoft Xbox GDC partyMicrosoft always tried to maintain a distance from gender related debates and didn’t promote anything in any of their programs. Phil Spencer, the Xbox head of Microsoft by himself expressed his regrets mentioning that – “in the GDC party occurred last week, we have presented Xbox and Microsoft in a way that was really embarrassing for our clients.” He by himself take all the responsibilities and apologized willingly. In the gaming industry, it has been said that women figure is somewhat not acceptable at all. Rather, this world is all for male. Now Microsoft has gone through the same situation and tackled it with an official apologizing statement. And this can be a real time teaching for all people related to technology and gaming zone.  Lets see if people support this action and after action of Microsoft or not. Only time can tell better, whether Microsoft can hold their reputation as earlier times.

Microsoft had hosted a “Women in Gaming” luncheon at the GDC earlier that day. Spencer added that the matter would be dealt with internally. Technology companies been facing intense scrutiny over diversity and compensation equity issues. Many big firms say there is a dearth of qualified women to hire, but many critics say the firms are not doing enough to attract and retain women.
