Microsoft has released a new version of Windows 10. The Build 14971 brings some new features – including an innovation that was long overdue.
Windows 10: New paint with 3D
With the upcoming Creators update, Microsoft will bring some new features for Windows 10. With the now released Insider Preview (Build 14971), you can try some of these new features. One of the highlights of the update scheduled for spring 2017 is the round-robin version of the Windows image editing program Paint. The version with 3D functions and modern layout is included in the current build for the first time. Until now, it was only available for manual download.
In addition, the PowerShell is now the default command line in Windows, replacing the old “cmd.exe”. You can use the File Explorer in Windows to call up the new command line by typing the command “cmd” or alternatively “powershell” into the address line. The PowerShell is the basis for the Linux support of the system introduced with Windows 10.
Also new is the support of the EPUB format in the Windows 10 Edge browser. So you can not make protected eBooks Now on Momox used to make money! Directly in the browser, optionally with light, dark or sepia background. It is also possible to create bookmarks and search via Cortana.
And finally, Microsoft has renewed the Get Office app. The app is designed to help new users understand the many old and new features of Office, and help them deal with many problems and issues.
Numerous bug fixes and performance improvements are, of course, also part of the update of the Insider preview. The full list of all improvements can be found in the Windows Insider blog.
