The lack of snow in Western Canada forced the cancellation of the first stages of the Men’s World Cup in Lake Louise.
The International Ski Federation (FIS) said hot temperatures and unfavorable weather forecasts forced the cancellation of races scheduled for November 26 and 27 in Alberta.
A descent was supposed to take place on Saturday and a super G on Sunday.
The FIS indicated that a replacement step could be added “in due course”.
The Lake Louise circuit must host the women’s circuit the following week. Two descents and a super G are still scheduled for the time being.
