Barcelona’s manager, Luis Enrique is optimistic about the upcoming second-leg game with Manchester City, taking place on Wednesday at Nou Camp, asserting that the team is in “perfect form.”
While their previous clash with Man City at the English team’s stadium ended with Man City’s 2-1 win, Enrique is much more optimistic for the next game. The team also has an upcoming match with Real Madrid on Sunday, which is their next match after a 2-0 result on Saturday, against Eibar.
When it comes to Real Madrid for the El Clasico, Enrique maintains that the priority right now is Man. City, given that this match is important for qualifications. As he explains, the team will focus on Real Madrid once the game with City is over.
Enrique also maintains that, while this is a “nice week with two games, it is not the most important.”
During the Eibar game, both goals were scored by Lionel Messi. Enrique, however, stresses that it was not an easy win, and that Eibar was on top of their game, as well as that the team “deserved their great start to the season.”
Commenting on the Eibar match outcome, Enrique was adamant that it was not an easy battle, and that it is of utmost importance that the game Barcelona plays continues to be “dominant and effective in every match.”
