Venezuela, North Korea and Chad were included on Sunday in a new list of countries banned from traveling to the United States because of their lack of security or lack of cooperation with US authorities, the government said.

Washington imposed a total ban on travel to citizens of North Korea and Chad, while restrictions on Venezuela are limited to officials from a long list of government entities and their immediate family members with nonimmigrant work visas (B-1 ), tourism (B-2) and both (B1 / B2).

In a document of the White House, it is detailed that the Venezuelan entities included are the Ministries of Interior and Justice, and Foreign Affairs, the Administrative Service of Identification, Migration and Aliens (Saime), the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (Cicpc) and the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin).

“In addition, nationals of Venezuela who are holders of visas must be subject to appropriate additional measures to ensure that travelers’ information remains in effect,” said the document that was tweeted by President Donald Trump a few minutes before 8 p.m.
