ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The shooting of 29-year-old Earl Thomas has had a profound impact on the Beechwood section of the city. Police say Thomas was shot by 23-year-old Robert Broomfield during an argument at a Sunoco gas station on Culver Road. Wade Davis, owner of Wade’s Barber Shop, which is located just down the street from the scene, told News10NBC that he saw the police response shortly after the shooting. Many in the area, though surprised, are not shocked to see gun violence in their neighborhood. Davis expressed his concern, saying he doesn’t want his clients to feel unsafe. Robert Broomfield has been charged with murder in the 2nd Degree and 2nd Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon and is expected to be arraigned at Rochester City Court Sunday morning.
