UPDATE 21/1/23: Crystal Dynamics has made it official – Marvel’s Avengers’ final update will arrive on 31st March this year, with support ending on 30th September. The Winter Soldier release is confirmed to be its last content update, and no new cosmetics are coming. From 31st March, premium in-game Credits will no longer be purchasable, and all Marketplace, Challenge Card, and Shipment cosmetics will be made free to all players from 31st March “onwards”.

ORIGINAL STORY 20/1/23: Crystal Dynamics is reportedly preparing to announce the end of development on Marvel’s Avengers, with official news due “as early as next week”. Lead developer Brian Waggoner has reportedly now left the company, leaving only a “small team” of developers still working on it. As part of a planned “exit strategy”, Crystal Dynamics will reportedly release a number of key systems changes and a final update addressing mobility balancing. The game will reportedly remain on sale digitally until “at least September”.
