Turtle Fur Achieves B Corp Certification

Leading Vermont brand joins community of companies dedicated to doing business for good.

Vermont Business Magazine Turtle Fur, a well-known outdoor headwear and accessories brand celebrating its 40th anniversary, is proud to announce that as of December 21st, 2022, they have officially become a Certified B Corporation™ (B Corp™). This means they join a community of leaders committed to using business as a force for positive change. To achieve this certification, Turtle Fur underwent a comprehensive review of their business practices and operations, measuring the effect those have on their people, their community, and the environment. The results were scored, and companies must meet a minimum score to be certified.

Turtle Fur is on a mission to inspire an outdoor lifestyle by promoting socially and environmentally conscious living and creating comfortable products for every adventure(r). Becoming a B Corp allows them to extend their positive impact on people and planet. “We are excited and honored to be part of the B Corp movement,” said Meghan Ksiazek, Vice President of Product.

Turtle Fur has been verified as meeting B Lab’s high standards for social and environmental impact. They have also made a legal commitment to stakeholder governance and are transparently disclosing their performance in a public B Corp profile. They are now part of a global community of 6,000 B Corps in 89 countries, 42 of which are in Vermont.
